Kaspersky Labs, the Russian-based information security software vendor, has released Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0. Or if you like, you can check out a review of the Kaspersky Internet Security, which is a superset of the Kaspersky Anti-Virus by Neil Rubenking.

Unlike some of the other AV vendors, Kaspersky has chosen not to fragment its offering into multiple bundles. Instead, it has chosen bundle protection against keyloggers and rootkits into its core KAV product. This latest release supposedly features improved detection and protection against the above two menaces.

There are some professionals that swear by Kaspersky. In fact, Larry Seltzer praises KAV’s ability to catch what other AV engines miss out. You can read about his brief write-up on Kaspersky AV here.
