The flag and “!” icons
When browsing the site, you’ll often see articles sporting the exclamation point icon. When you spot this icon at the end of an article summary, you’ll know the article has been favorably rated by other community members, making it a Reader’s Choice piece.

You’ll also often see a blue flag icon following an article summary. The flag appears next to articles that are available to those who have become TechRepublic members by registering for a free TechRepublic Passport.
