I managed to catch up with Pia Waugh, VP of Linux Australia earlier in the week, and we spent some time discussing the upcoming LinuxWorld Conference and Expo. It’s slated to be held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre over the 28th – 30th of March this year.

As Pia Waugh says, “it’s pitched more at business folk than pure techies”, and aims to introduce Linux and open source software to Aussie businesses.

The organisers have managed to come up with a compelling list of speakers, among them Jon “Maddog” Hall, HP’s Bdale Garbee, Microsoft’s Brett Roberts, Ivan Kladnig of IBM, and Oracle’s Monica Kumar.

Yours truly will be there, and it’s looking to be a great event. More details are available on the LinuxWorld Conference and Expo site.
