Mobile-to-mobile communication provider Vianet has introduced a wireless CCTV service over 3G technology.

An excerpt from TechWorld:

Vianet describes its Connect service as the world’s first “practical” CCTV over mobile networks. It says that by “cutting the wires” it overcomes traditional cost, image quality, and lack of flexibility associated with wired surveillance.

Connect, as the mobile CCTV service is called, will enable swifter deployment of cameras outdoors and solves issues around  the wiring of cameras. Each camera gets a unique address and can be remotely managed and controlled.
