Network Appliance Inc. has announced the acquisition of Boston based Onaro, a storage management company, for $120 million.
Tom Georgens, executive vice president for product operations of NetApp, said: “NetApp is very excited about the breakthroughs it can achieve for its customers with the addition of Onaro to its manageability portfolio.
“This deal is not just a first for the industry, but also a new opportunity for customers to rethink their large-scale storage infrastructures-and gain extra confidence in the strength of modular systems to manage the biggest data challenges out there.”
Onaro’s expertise in mapping, testing, and monitoring of Storage Area Networks (SAN) will make a vital addition to NetApp’s repertoire of storage solutions.
