By default, Android tablets really only allow you to uninstall one app at a time. There isn’t a batch mode for uninstall, so it can take some time — especially when you have numerous applications to
remove. However, thanks to a handy tool called Easy Uninstaller, batch removal of apps is quite easy, as its name implies.

Features

Here are some features of the Easy Uninstaller app:

  • Batch uninstall
  • Fast uninstall by one click
  • List all installed apps
  • Search app by name
  • App share
  • Launch app
  • Cached app list
  • Support App2SD
  • Uninstall History (Recycle Bin)
  • Uninstall Reminder

The application is free (ad-based) and offers to remove
the ads for a fee of $1.99 (USD).  Let’s install
this handy app on an Android tablet and see what it can do.

Installation

The installation of Easy Uninstaller is simple. Just follow these steps:

  1. Open the Google Play Store on the device
  2. Search
    for “easy uninstaller” (no quotes)
  3. Tap
    the entry for the application
  4. Tap
    Install
  5. Tap
    Accept

After the installation is complete, you should see the launcher for Easy
Uninstaller on your home screen. If not, open up the application drawer and
swipe around until you find it. Launch Easy Uninstaller to begin the process.

Usage

Using Easy Uninstaller is indeed easy. From the main window (Figure A), select the applications you
want to uninstall, and then tap the Uninstall button.

The batch uninstall method doesn’t actually automatically remove
everything without user intervention. After an application is deleted from the
device, Easy Uninstaller will alert you that the removal was a success. Once
you’ve been notified, tap OK to move to the next app to be uninstalled. At
this point, you will have to okay the removal of the application (Figure B).

Having to okay a package removal should help prevent you from
accidentally uninstalling an application that you actually want to keep (because it is possible to
inadvertently select an application).

If the application doesn’t allow you to batch uninstall,
go into the settings of Easy Uninstaller (tap the menu button at the top right
— the three vertical dots — and tap Setting) and make sure Batch Uninstall Mode is
checked. If it’s not, check it (Figure C).

You can also enable Easy Uninstaller fast access from the
notification bar from the Settings window. The addition of this feature does nothing more
than offer another means to launch the application from within the notification bar.

Although uninstalling applications on Android is a fairly
straightforward process, having to uninstall numerous applications can take
time, especially if you’re managing multiple tablets. For an easier way to uninstall
applications on your Android tablet, give Easy Uninstaller a try.
