Over the last year, I have seen a lot of presentations that used various incarnations of Visual Studio 2010. In the early part of the year, it was miserable to watch these presentations because, between the Visual Studio beta crashing and the Windows 7 beta that it was shipped on crashing, I had no desire to even try Visual Studio 2010. Over the last few months, I’ve seen Visual Studio 2010 Beta 1 and Beta 2 and neither seem problematic.

It was recently suggested to me to transition a product I am working on to Beta 2 to leverage some new technologies. I think I am finally emotionally ready to do that and to have code that is ready to ship when the RTM drops.

I know some developers work like this, coding on betas and being ready to make last-minute changes when the final version arrives, in order to get to market quickly; still, it makes me nervous. What do you think?
