The command-line chkdsk tool has been around for many years. It’s even been incorporated into the Windows GUI–open Windows Explorer, right-click a drive letter, click Properties, select the Tools tab, and look under Error-checking.
There are still times however, when IT pros may need to run chkdsk from the command line. So, I’ve put together this short quiz to test your knowledge of the Windows chkdsk command. I’m using Windows 7 as the basis for this quiz.
Note: Unfortunately, our poll tool, which I use to create each pop quiz, doesn’t let me indicate a correct answer after each question. To keep from giving away the answers before everyone has a chance to test his/her knowledge, and ruining all the fun, I’ve published the answers on the second page of this blog post.
