Social bookmarking site Propeller showed signs of growth that are expected to continue to grow more than Digg, the poster boy of social bookmarking. Propeller’s success is attributed it its appeal to non-techie users.
An excerpt from SearchEngineJournal:
Propeller may attract less techie users and more of the average netizen, which in some cases will make it more powerful than Digg if Propeller grows alongside of AOL, and properly integrates the new system into the entire global AOL network, including AOL Search (think the massive amount of traffic Yahoo could bring to your site vs. Digg, since Yahoo appeals to everyone).
Propeller is AOL’s experiment with social news that follows a method different from Digg. Here, the top editors and content submitters actually get paid.
