For the third year in a row, TechRepublic is hosting a free tech event in Louisville, KY. The event is free to TechRepublic members, and it will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn Northeast on Sept. 28-30, 2011.

The official program will be announced at a later date. However, in the morning sessions, we will be tackling some of the biggest issues that are bearing down on IT departments, IT leaders, and IT administrators in 2011, including:

  • Supporting employee-owned devices
  • Dealing with security and privacy issues
  • Cloud computing and SaaS
  • Open source adoption
  • The social media challenge
  • The outsourcing effect

Attendees will also have the opportunity to shape their own sessions during the “Unconference” portion of the event each afternoon. Attendees can propose potential topics, and the topics that draw the most interest from attendees are the ones that will turn into break-out moderated discussions.

We hope to make this event even bigger and better than the previous two years. There are 100 seats available, and it’s first come, first served. Since seating is limited, we encourage you to reserve your spot by submitting your information on the TechRepublic Live 2011 Registration page.

Be sure to secure your accommodations at the Hilton, as well. They are honoring a discounted group rate for rooms. When you call to make your reservation — (502) 423-0018 — be sure to mention the TechRepublic discount.
