Who is it for

The HP iPAQ 910 Business Messenger is designed for the business professional in need of a smart phone that can readily integrate with Microsoft Exchange and Outlook, and that contains features and tools that make answering e-mail, and running other productivity applications the priority.

What problem does it solve

The HP iPAQ 910 Business Messenger features just about every conceivable wireless connection a smart phone could want, giving it great flexibility as a phone and as a PDA.

Connectivity: With integrated Quad-band, Tri-band, WiFi, and Bluetooth, the HP iPAQ 910 Business Messenger can connect to the Internet and the rest of the outside world in just about any way you could imagine. This gives the iPAQ 910 more appeal as a general business use phone with international capabilities.
Touch screen: While much smaller than the iPhone or the Blackberry Storm, the HP iPAQ 910 Business Messenger does have a touch screen interface that makes navigation more intuitive than many similar business phones. This is especially evident when the iPAQ is in the phone mode.
Keyboard: One of the most important parts of any device designed with answering e-mail and text messages in mind is the keyboard. The keyboard on the iPAQ 910 is laid out with thumb typing in mind and is of adequate size to make answering e-mail relatively painless for the novice and simple for the well-experienced.
Side scroll wheel: The side scroll wheel on the HP iPAQ 910 Business Messenger makes viewing long documents a one hand task.

What’s wrong

Small display: At a resolution of 320 X 240, the touch screen is very small. So, while you can use your fingers on the touch screen, it is more optimal to use the included stylus.
Interface: The interface is dependent on Windows Mobile 6.1 which can be a little cumbersome to work with for some applications.
Audio connections: There is no standard audio jack on the phone. To use headphones you will need to use the wired mini-USB headset or a headset that uses Bluetooth.

It may not win design awards or be much of a conversation starter, but it does its job and it does well.
