Samsung’s Galaxy S 4G, Infuse 4G, Droid Charge, and Galaxy Tab 10.1 will stay on store shelves after a U.S. judge denied Apple’s request for a preliminary injunction against the products, reports PCMag.com. In a case that dates back to April, Apple has claimed it would suffer irreparable harm if the Samsung products were not pulled from the market, but California district Judge Lucy Koh didn’t buy it:

It is not clear that an injunction on Samsung’s accused devices would prevent Apple from being irreparably harmed … Indeed, given the evidence Samsung presented, it seems likely that a major beneficiary of an injunction would be other smartphone manufacturers.”

As the Los Angeles Times notes, the two companies are locked in an epic legal battle with more than 20 lawsuits filed in more than 10 countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, Japan, France, and Italy. The results of the suits have been mixed. According to DailyTech, Australia has refused to grant Apple’s request for a sales ban. Similarly, a court in the Netherlands put the kibosh on Apple’s efforts to ban slightly modified Samsung devices. However, the news hasn’t been all bad for Apple as a German court has banned the sale of Samsung’s devices, forcing the South Korean company to release a slightly modified version of the Galaxy tablet, reports The Wall Street Journal.

Of course, Samsung is pleased with the U.S. judge’s decision, saying the ruling confirms Apple’s arguments lacks merit.” Apple has not responded, but will likely defend its position vigorously when the full case heads to court on July 30, 2012.
