Snapchat: 4 features to try out

In case you're still learning your way around Snapchat, here are 4 features you might not know about.

Getting to know your way around Snapchat isn't easy. It's not your fault. Let's just say the user interface leaves a lot to be desired.

Here are 4 things you might not know that you can do with Snapchat.

First, in case you haven't noticed, the search is kind of a pain. One wrong letter or extra space, and the clamoring public won't be able to find you. But, if you tap the ghost at the top of the camera, if gives you a unique image that functions like a QR code. If other users take a picture of it from inside the app, they'll automatically follow you. It's really easy, and even better, you can post your little ghost on other social media platforms to help build your follower base.

Second, Snapchat offers filters if you want to add something extra to your snaps. If you take a picture or video and then swipe right, you can add the time, miles per hour, or filters like sepia or black and white.

Third, if you're a brand making use of the stories feature, don't forget that you can add your snap straight to your story by tapping the button that looks like a square with rounded edges and a plus sign.

And fourth, if you want to keep up with who is viewing your story, swipe over to the stories screen and tap your story. It'll pull up not only the number of views, but the names of the viewers.
