It is a rare treat to see a low-budget movie made in the South that isn’t total crap. The Long Way Home: A Bigfoot Story won “Best Narrative Feature” for the entire New York International Independent Film & Video Festival 2007. Glenn Brackin of Columbia, South Carolina’s film has all the ingredients for a horror movie set in the South with such diverse characters as a character named “Cornbread”, a snake handler, a drag queen, hundreds of dead chickens, and a bigfoot! Not since the halcyon days of the The Legend of Boggie Creek have we seen such an eclectic mix!
