The enterprise software maker Sybase announced revenues of $1 billion for the year 2007, beating revenue forecasts by analysts.

The sales “are a reflection that we are doing well enough running our business, that moves we engaged in in the past five years are bearing fruit,” Raj Nathan, Sybase’s chief marketing officer, said in an interview after the earnings were announced.
The profits for Q4 came in at $295.2 million, a 15% jump over figures from last year.
The company has been under lot of pressure from its investors, considering the performance of other enterprise software firms. The company has been doing exceedingly well in the mobile software segment and is taking aim at an enterprise-oriented mobile software stack.
