When TechRepublic was first emerging as a prime resource and gathering place for IT professionals, we created the Peer Directory to facilitate communication among members and to help you tap into the expertise and real-world wisdom of your colleagues. Now, we’ve redesigned the Directory so it’s easier than ever to contact other professionals and to share information about yourself.
When you go to the Peer Directory, you’ll find an alphabetical listing at the top that will link to the peer listings. Just a few clicks of the mouse, and you can find anyone who appears in the Directory. We’ve updated the Directory so that the listings can include new optional information, such as members’ hobbies and photos. In addition, you can check out members’ favorite TechRepublic content, along with their active discussions and contributions to the Technical Q&A forums.
You can also take advantage of the Peer Directory Search utilities, which make it easy to find someone if you don’t have much info to go on, or to round up a list of professionals who have specific skills or knowledge. You can search by name, certification, programming language, enterprise application, location—and even by hobby.
Editing your profile in the Peer Directory is quick and straightforward. Just click the Edit My Listing section in the upper-right corner of the page to change your information, to set the number of times a month you want to allow peers to contact you, or to further personalize the listing with your photo and hobbies.
If you have any questions about how you can put the Peer Directory to work, just click Peer Directory: FAQs to see an overview of all the Directory features and functions.
We are proud to offer this service to our members and feel it will add value to your online experience. Consider TechRepublic’s Peer Directory as your own version of Who’s Who in the IT world.
