As I’ve mentioned previously, I play around a lot with keyword extractor tech like tagcloud, usually to extract metathemes from RSS feeds. I really like doing this with blogs–it’s like a tuned niche version of BlogPulse. But, here’s the funny thing–two words keep popping up in my tagclouds that include blog feeds: Apparently and whether.

Apparently, bloggers rely on these words as a staple of their entries.

Whether this is meaningful or not, I don’t know, but it’s one of those

fascinating little databits that will fester in my subconscious for

quite a while. Language is strange, especially when you try to quantify

it.
