MS Office uses controls and special shapes, known as AutoShapes in its interface. You can insert them too–into an Access form, a PowerPoint slide, or even a user form. As a rule, moving the ones you insert and customize is easy. You simply drag and drop them wherever you want. That can be a bit of a problem if you’re using a laptop that doesn’t support a mouse. In addition, some people just prefer the keyboard over a mouse. To use arrow keys to move controls and AutoShapes, select the control and then press the appropriate arrow key. In Access, holding down Shift while pressing an arrow key will stretch the control, accordingly.
