In Windows Vista and Windows 7, when you receive the Internet Explorer error message, “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage,” there are several troubleshooting methods you can try to reconnect.
Here is just one of the methods:
- Press [Windows]+R
- Type inetcpl.cpl in the Run dialog box
- Click Enter
- Select the Connections tab
- Click LAN settings
- De-select the Automatically detect settings option
- Close out of Internet Explorer and try connecting again
Several additional methods are provided at Microsoft’s Help and Support page. If you know of other possible solutions, please list them in the discussion thread.
