Currently, you can upgrade from Windows XP or Windows 2000 to Windows Vista by purchasing an upgrade edition of Windows Vista. You have two options for the installation:

In-place upgrade
Upgrade Windows XP or Windows 2000 to Windows Vista.

Clean install
