Having attended numerous IT events, I’ve become a conference bag connoisseur. I really appreciate a bag that I can use for more than the show’s brief time frame. The bag’s contents should also be a unique and useful combination of promotional material, swag, and unreleased or recently-released software.

Unfortunately, CMP Media’s Interop 2007 Las Vegas attendee bag left a lot to be desired. The thin nylon bag contained a water bottle, a t-shirt, and a ton of marketing material. While it’s fine for holding the marketing slicks, product spec sheets, and swag attendees will pick up on the show floor, I wouldn’t use it as an everyday laptop bag.
