A few weeks ago, SFSignal asked all sci-fi bibliophiles to show their stacks of unread books, knowing that most speculative fiction fans have a chronic habit of buying books at a much faster rate than they can read them. I’m certainly of that ilk, even if I read and buy slower than the stereotype suggests. I do read consistently, but its usually my SF/F book club selections, rather than my own list, so the pile gets bigger all the time. Anywho, above is my stack as of today, which includes the following titles:
- The Sagan Diary by John Scalzi (a signed ARC copy, actually)
- Children of the Mind by Orson Scott Card
- Learning the World by Ken Macleod
- The Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Robert A. Heinlein
- The Last Colony by John Scalzi
- Spindrift by Allen Steele
- Wings to the Kingdom by Cherie Priest
- Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke
- Rainbow’s End by Vernor Vinge
- The Jennifer Morgue by Charles Stross
The photos may be superfluous, but I encourage everyone to share their “to read” lists in the comment space, if only to make me feel less guilty about neglecting my own tomes.
