Microsoft has released a patch for its Windows 2000 operating system. The patch, covering 2000 Professional, Server, and Advanced Server, eliminates a vulnerability that could allow a user to disrupt normal operation of a server, and perhaps the operation of an entire network, by corrupting parts of a system’s local security policy.
