Last month, I blogged about the five worst companies to work for. This week, I stumbled upon a list on Forbes.com of the "World's Most Respected Companies." This is a list compiled from a study conducted by Reputation Institute, a New York City-based consultancy and research firm. For the eighth year in a row, the firm surveyed more than 60,000 people online in 29 countries to compile the list. According to the Forbes Web site, the consumers voted on seven factors that contribute to a firm's reputation:
- Projects and services
Topping the list? The Denmark-based Lego company. Although there were no U.S.-based companies in the top ten, Kraft Foods, Inc., hit the list at number 15. Click here to see the complete rankings table.
