Frozen food and seafood giant the Findus Group has appointed Jola Gillespie to its newly created CIO role.
Gillespie joined the company earlier this month and will report to Findus Group CEO Chris Britton.
Findus Group - which employs 6,000 staff across Europe and has brands including Young's Seafood, The Seafood Company and Findus - said Gillespie has more than 20 years' experience of driving major business transformational projects in international consumer goods companies. She joins the company from SABMiller, where she was European CIO.
Before SABMiller, Gillespie was IT director at two PepsiCo businesses, Frito Lay and Walkers. She will lead the existing Findus internal team, responsible for all elements of the company's IT systems.
Findus Group CEO Britton said Gillespie is a senior, experienced professional with a strong track record in fast-moving, international environments: "She brings a wealth of knowledge to the business and will play a central role in our continual push to improve our organisation and to drive our transformation agenda in the years ahead," he said in a statement.
