A 'proof of concept' (e.g. harmless) cross-platform virus has been
reported by security firm Kaspersky Lab. The virus, named
Virus.Linux.Bi.a/ Virus.Win32.Bi.a, does not seem to have any malicious
function; it does however cause concern as it could mark the beginning
of a new age where Linux users are no longer safe from the infections
spread via Windows.
Files infected with the virus will contain the following text:
