Spike Jonze (Where the Wild Things Are, Adaptation, Being John Malkovich) wrote and directed a robot love story entitled I'm Here. The 30-minute film, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2010, is now available online. Here's the trailer for I'm Here:Notes about watching the film online: I'm Here is presented by ABSOLUT VODKA, so you have to be above drinking age in your country to log on to the site. Also, there are limited "seats," although ABSOLUT recently increased capacity on imheremovie.com to allow 12,000 viewers per day.
I enjoyed watching this sweet, twisted story, but I know it won't be everyone's free geek short film of choice. If you watch I'm Here, please post your review. Even if you don't watch it, share your online geek movie recommendations in the discussion.
