This morning, a 1938 debut edition of Action Comics No. 1, which was the first comic book to feature Superman, sold for $1 million by a private seller to a private buyer via the the auction site ComicConnect.com. This sale breaks the previous comic book record of $317,000, which someone paid last year for the same issue. According to the AP release, this copy sold for a much higher price because it was in better condition.
So, Geekend readers, if you had $1 million of disposable income, would you spend it on a comic book? If not, is there a geeky item that you would buy?
