Truth is stranger than Star Trek

Space.com: "A new study finds that

the supermassive black holes at the hearts of some galaxies are the

most fuel efficient engines in the universe."

Trivia Geek reaction: "As I recall, the Romulans use forced quantum singularities

(AKA artificial black holes) as engine cores, rather than the

traditional dilithium-modulated matter/antimatter warp cores employed

by the Federation, the Klingons, and pretty much everyone else in the Star Trek galaxy. I guess the Romulans were an eco-friendly star empire."

Yes, the Star Trek affectation goes far deeper than the cheesy replica

uniform. At least I'm not alone.

Yet, before you judge me, remember that TR is chock full of Trekkies, so much so that we see Star Trek influences in everyday places and things. Truth is sometimes far stranger than Star Trek.
