The two geekiest YouTube videos making the rounds this week are The Guild's I'm the One That's Cool and the one featured here: The video of the dance song What Is Love by Haddaway playing on eight floppy drives.
When TechRepublic's Mark Kaelin sent me the link for the video of What Is Love on eight floppy drives, he stated that it doesn't get much geekier than this, and I agreed. Then I spotted YouTube user MrSolidSnake745's other uploads, which include the Star Trek: The Next Generation theme on eight floppy drives, the Superman theme on eight floppy drives, the Zelda Collection on eight floppy drives, and more, and it would be tough to pick the geekiest of the lot.
For details about how his floppy drives work, go to the user's About section, where you can download his FAQ. He states that he's using software created by YouTube user Sammy1Am, who posted a video detailing how you can make your own musical floppy drive.
