Microsoft has announced a further delay in the release of the next version of Dynamics NAV, saying that version 6.0 will be released mid next year.

A quote from PC World:

"We decided we need a little more of what we call 'bake' time," said Kirill Tatarinov, a vice president in Microsoft's division that deals with business applications, using a software developer term for when a product isn't done.

Microsoft has a bad reputation when it comes to regular updates. The next version of Dynamics is expected to be based on a three-tier architecture with support for Web Services (CRN). Also included are a redesigned user interface and further integration with several Microsoft services.

Do the features that are being added to Dynamics make the ERP solution appealing for your midsize company?
