Apps of the month (March 2012): Apple Store, Speedtest, Tweetbot, and more

This past month, I eliminated my residential Internet connection and replaced it with a business class connection that's supposed to be more reliable and provide consistent speed. Although the service has been more reliable, the speed claims have not. I've used speed test sites from the provider and from third parties, but I also wanted to test the speed from my mobile device. Also, when I'm on the road, I sometimes want to test the speed of the connection I'm on.

So, I downloaded the free app and gave it a spin. It works well and provides me with the information that I need. In Figure E, you can see the results on my speed test this afternoon — not what I'd hoped to see, but it wasn't bad. Figure E
