Hi,

sorry for posting again, but I still have 4 Questions:

Do I have to install a special Network-Driver to provide loadbalancing ??

I have to give both 2 NIC's the same IP or not ??

Do both OS's, W2K and NT 4.0 provide loadbalancing ?

And is my bandwidth then 200 MBit/s ??

Great, if you or someone else can help me !

Hello Again...

If you are using Intel or Compaq server NICs, the "standard" driver software will allow you to set up "teams" of adapters in a fault-tolerant, load-balanced, or combined environment. It works in NT4 and W2K.

Additionally, Ciscoallows mutliple NICs to be bonded together to provide increased bandwidth. Their technology is called FastEtherChannel.

Lastly, the maximum bandwidth equals 200MB for two 100Mbit NICs. However, Ethernet does not allow 100% utilization by its very nature.
