More Efficient Way Of Administrating NT

I need a solution to streamline the way the Network is administrated. When it comes to updates, and loading software etc. I still have to go to each PC (70 users) and manually do this.

I have heard about software that can help me administer an NTnetwork without having to visit every user. Can you please tell me what I need get in order to cut down the workload?

PS. Please give me any info on NT login scripts too!

Both SMS & Zero Administration Kit will be able to help you on this issue.
I've tried to use this 'sysdiff' command (for > 100 workstations in my company) and it is really help also, especially in the deployment of new software. I hope this can help you. Let me know, if you need any help.

We use Zenworks, running on a Novell server. It gives us total control of user's desktops, scheduled app installation, remote control etc. Have a look on Novell.com

I'm using the following products:

For the installation of software on desktop computers we are using Computer Associates ShipIT. And for remote control of the desktops we are using Computer Associates ControlIT.

These products are very good and easy to work with. The products are not so hardware hungry for the server where they run on than SMS.

Evaluation version can be ordered via the Computer Associates web site (or downloaded).
