Access 97 Tough one!

By MRA2 ·
I have a database with names ID Numbers and box numbers. I want to create a form with 50 boxes. Each box will have a name on it. When you click on the box, a form with that person's information should pop up. Is this possible in Access97???

Thanks,
Alan

You can create a form with 50 cmd buttons to represent your 50 boxes and assign ID numbers to each one of them. Create a Tmp table with one field and one record (ID). Create a table for the 50 persons with their information.

Create a pop-up form that is bound to a query that has the person table and the tmp table.

On the Click_Event of each box or cmd buttons, write the ID to tmp and open the pop up form.

It may not be efficient to have 50 boxes on a form but I assume that you have your reasons for doing this and the above steps will do exactly what you want.
