All good things eventually come to an end

Why? I do not know.

Over the past ten years, I've been a little bit of Norm, Sam, Cliff, Frasier, Coach, Woody, and the unsuspecting patron who just happened through the door looking for a cold beer.

Some of you will get it, others will not.

Which are you?

I don't know that many people "sound" like me

by Tigger_Two In reply to I'm the same old TiggerTw ...

Just as you are easy to identify by the way you write (to me, anyway), I guess I always thought that I was as well.

It has been a long, strange trip.

It IS good to "see" you again.

I was convinced by the way you use the keyboard

It sounds like you're leaving or

Taking a respite from TR. You didn't put your avatar back.

I think my answer to you is that when one door closes, another one opens.

I enjoyed the videos, by the way. I think I'm like the unsuspecting person that wandered into Cheers. I never expected to be here 9 years later.

Such is life

by generalist In reply to All good things eventuall ...

You remember the good times and forget the bad. The only constant is change.

I suspected a 'Cheers' reference, though I never watched the show. Call me a cultural illiterate as far as television is concerned. It meets my life style.

Excellent episode choice, Max.

If you watched it all the way through, you're right, it was very fitting.

Oh I know

by AnsuGisalas In reply to That show

I grew up with it...
It was one of the highlights of dreary 80's weeks.
So, now I went to check IMDb for Cheers... and what do I get?
Apparently that's the finnish title... but terveydeksi means "gesundheit" (it means "may it bring you health" and is said when someone sneezes)... it doesn't mean "cheers", it doesn't mean "to your health", it's nothing to do with bars or patrons or drinking, it's just "gesundheit".
Totally weird translation.
Almost on a par with the translation for Apocalypse Now!... which is "Ilmestyskirja nyt!", which in turn means "Book of revelations now!".
