AOL keeps signing on!

By storriefamily ·
I have a problem with my AOL software. After a couple power outages, I booted my computer and it says that the Main.idx file is damaged, to reinstall. Well, before I could do so, AOL kept signing on, (i have my password saved) without me asking it to. So, I went through the process of uninstalling and reinstalling it, and therefore upgraded to the VR(Vista Ready) version. However, it doesn't do it as often, but it still signs on, and if I don't save the password, it just pops up.
Can anybody help with this?

Another solution

If you have an AOL icon on the lower right of desktop, right click, settings. Set it to not start up when computer turns on. Also look at all the settings and configure as you want them, not AOL.

Good Luck.

Thanks a lot guys. Does anyone else have this problem? It happened after the computer died a couple times. I don't know if it's damaged or if it's my computer.
