Hi, all
I need a help to advise for software inventory. I work for a small organization like accounting firm. And now want to ask for anyone who know better software license inventory for a small business.
I found Software inventory from softinventive. Possible to track the software presence on specific devices. Merge different versions of the same software. Use regular expressions to improve search results. I can download its hear http://www.softinventive.com/software-asset-management/. But this software not free.
Maybe whose worked with this software and can give me some reviews or advices.

Thanks

Hi, George. Your software isn't free, but you can use the trial version to 60 days. You could try it and make your choose.

I use this program in our company for a year. Pretty OK fee as for the product quality they give. I can compare this asset and license magagement software http://www.softinventive.com/software-asset-management/ to Lansweeper http://www.lansweeper.com/ and the price is lower. Every product has a different feature so i suggest to try them out and decide it to yourself what you want. Also, useful link: http://network-management.softwareinsider.com/compare/27-34/Total-Network-Inventory-vs-Lansweeper - it`s not pretty accurate comparison ( for example, both have ok instructions and videos, don`t have node limit, but you can get the idea. lansweeper has a free version and Total network inventory has only a trial period.

In my opinion, best service ever. If you have more networks than one licensed solution like Total Network Inventory software license control http://www.softinventive.com/software-audit/ definitely worth a try. Much easier to manage all properties in a graphic interface than using console. And if you have spare money you`ll love the support. In a small organization, however, i`m affraid no one would give you money for that. So you can look at other free alternatives.

I used http://www.misutilities.com/network-asset-tracker-pro/index.html
It's not freeware, but they have a fully functional trial period.
I've done all I need :)
