Bootable CD in windows xp

By steven ·
When you install windows "any version" it gives you the option to make a startup disk. It wants to make the startup disk on a floppy. My problem is that I don't have a floppy drive and I do want to have a start up disk. I do have a cd burner. Does anyone know how to make a start up disk on cd?

Easiest way to "make" a bootable CD must be this (if you have Nero, EasyCD or WinOnCD):
http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/ . About 7 "pages" down you find downloads. Look for Mirror site #1. I used that one because I'm swedish to :-) .
Just download that file & after that look about 5 "pages" down for how to use Nero, EasyCD or WinOnCD. I used Nero & it was a piece of cake.
I couldn't beleive it was that easy. And if you need more tools on the CD, you will find instructions for this at the same page. But I think you will find what you need at the first download without any changes.
