Building computer, won't boot...

By Xiviergaming ·
I am putting together my own PC,I have all of the parts installed.

Now I go to turn on the pc, it starts, fans run etc...but nothing goes onto the monitor, even though the monitor turns on and then, as if it is not getting any other signal turns off.

I put the LCD Poster in the Motherboard....the codes I am getting are as follows:

Looking in the manual now those say :

DET DRAM - Detect memory - Auto-detection of Dram size, type and ECC.
- Auto-detection of L2 cache

CHECK CPU - Detect CPU information including brand, type and CPU level (586 or 686)

VGA BIOS - Initialize VGA BIOS

Also, the RAM I have is incompatible with this new mobo. Would that hold it all down?

If not that, any other ideas?

Ok, what you want to do is get another graphic card..

Get a lower spec graphic card and put this in, then update your bios. When updated replace your other graphic card and re-boot.
You want to make sure that the processor is seated properly as well so take it out, give it a good clean and put back. Only put a very small amount of thermal paste onto the processor and then re-seat the heatsink and fan. Make sure the memory is of the same spec. When all done, your computer should start fine.

Please post back if you have any more problems or questions.
