Can I use android auto with Apple phone on techrepublic?

Hello I have few questions, I’m looking to upgrade my stereo unit to one with android auto,

Question 1. Can I use skip the dishes (courier app) with android auto?

Question 2. Do I need an android phone to use android auto? Or can I just hotspot my Apple phone?

Question 3. Or should I just get a CarPlay dongle and download CarPlay and does skip the dishes courier app work on CarPlay?

2. That may vary with each Android Auto unit. In the early days there were issues. Today, should work but hey, some may find it hard to setup.

I suspect that the app maker will have to be asked as well as you reveal to all what make, model and Android OS was in that player.

I do expect ZERO support on auto stereo units. The app's maker is unlikely to have such in their developer groups.
