Can't access a Floppy Disk

By mak15 ·
I'm sure this is a common question, but I can't find any related answers. I tried to access a floppy disk with WIN2000PRO, but it keeps ask me to format it. I can open it with WIN98-2nd, I can read some files, but some of the files are corrupted, I guess. I can read the size of all the files, but just can't open all of them. I tried ScanDisk, but didn't work!

Question 1: Reason can read in WIN98, is it because the floppy is in FAT not FAT32?
Question 2: Is there any solution to it, except reformat (Datas are very important)?

The floppy disk is corrupt. It is simple but unfortunately the data might be important. it happened to me once and I had to skip the disk in the end. Alternatively try winzip if that works.
