    Clear cached credentials in IE6

    Locked

For some unknown reason the server that hosts our intranet pages may start prompting a user for credentials. The user’s AD creds will normally satisfy it.

I have a user who started receiving prompts for credentials several weeks ago. He understandably tired of entering these and clicked the “Save Password” check box. Life was good.

He changed his AD password a few weeks ago, and now his cached password is preventing him from accessing intranet sites. Unfortunately, the Self-Assessment portion of our annual reviews is on our intranet. Each person’s form is personalized and retrieved based on their login name.

How do I clear his cached credentials? He’s using IE6. I’ve cleared cookies, temp files, history, AutoComplete passwords, AutoComplete forms data, and disabled AutoComplete. If someone else logs on his computer, the second user does not get prompted for credentials. He can log into or access all other network resources; only intranet pages are affected.

    Thanks.
