computer keeps rebooting

By hargoj ·
I have an IBM NET VISTA MODEL 2276, CONFIG ID#Cf20495 i'm trying to fix for a friend. I've formatted the hd-clean. It has all the original components it came with. I try to load win2k or winxp, but the computer just keeps rebooting. If I load it with just DOS, the machine runs fine and everything, no rebooting. Soon as I start loading any win, it starts rebooting. Sometimes it will go through the install, and get to screen right before it flashes the desktop and reboots. Tried hotswapping parts, cpu, ram, hd. Nothing works.

computer keeps rebooting

I have tried all of these suggestions... and it boils down to a new mother board... this is what I feared... I'm going to do one more strip down and hotswap rebuild, and then I'll keep everyone posted on what happens.... hopefully, not a new motherboard...
