Security and Privacy as top two concerns of outsourcing

There are pros and cons with either on or off shore outsourcing. Security and privacy is, in many cases, among top ranking cons. As the author says, it is imperative that companies make sure they enforce the "same" rules and regulations that apply home. Companies should monitor the outsourcers' compliance thoroughly at all times. Here I'd add that companies should keep in mind that security and privacy "control" should not be outsourced, that is, it should be retained home.
