Default Homepage

By compserv ·
When adding a user to an XP workstation, the user sets up just fine with two exceptions. The default home page for each user goes back to msn.com and the quick launch goes away. We want the IE default homepage to be our company page and we do want to use the quick launch.
We are logging on to a Windows 2003 domain controller.

I finally found the answer to this in the knowledgebase..

1. Create a user and set it up exactly the way you want it. Default homepage quicklaunch icons etc.
2. Then log off and log on as administrator
3. Open Windows explorer, go to tools options view and set explorer to view hidden files
4. Go the the system icon in the control panel and then the advanced tab. click on the setting button in the user profile box. Select the user you just created and copy it to "Default User" profile. Then give everyone permission to use in the "permission to use" box

this was a tough one....
thanks for the help
