Ther is a registry hack for win2k from a tool kit, but Microsoft will have a power tool program for xp that will let you option out your boot menu. Look around for “Power Toys”. Good luck

Answers 1 and 3 will more readily resolve your issue, but I just wanted to point out that you can also access this by right-clicking (once) on My Computer and selecting Properties from the drop-down menu. Just a shortcut to minimize steps and easier to remember. Just don’t set the delay so short that you don’t have time to react. 🙂

XP makes the change (see answer # 3), you don’t have to change 98.

With 98 you would either need to use 3rd party boot software and disable XPs boot loader or copy ntldr , ntdetect.com & boot.ini from xp to 98 and edit the boot.ini file to change the default OS. Then make a batch file to get it all to load up first. (if you decide to do this I can give you the info in more detail if you want)
Personaly I use a 3 party boot manager and install all my OS on different primary partitions much easier to fix if one OS fails.-

Hi! If you can erase the time that you have to make your choice for your dual boot, to do this you have to edit the ” Boot.ini ” files, before doing this you most see all your hiding files, then open the file that i mantion and replace the number by-1, save and exit; now the system will wate for you!
