Ed Bott's Microsoft Challenge--May 11, 2

I'm sick and tired of the Windows Explorer, and I'm looking for replacements. If you've found one that works for you, tell your fellow TechRepublic members about it. I’ll award 250 TechPoints for every suggestion I add to the list--but only ifyou can meet two conditions: First, you have to really use this program; no fair searching your favorite download site and listing something that sounds good. Second, convince me to make the switch by listing at least one killer feature that makes your replacement worth it.

It took a while to think back when this was an aggravating situation. I got lucky and followed the MSN progressive solution and without knowing exactly all the reasons signed up for NeoPlanet. After all the audio alarms were turned off I found myself working more efficiently.
The number of reasons are real and you can try "control panel for the view drop down menu" and see if that by itself is worth it. The email access while having web and favorites at your screen tips also are significant. All you have to do is make windows explorer accessible as a favorite on NeoPlanet and you have eleiminated at least five strokes.

You have too many things going on to come to a long term and meanigful solution. Simplify the situtation by building a priority list of what is important to you and consider the possibility of concentrating at the priority that automatically gives you some experience inthe areas that you are also interested in. the point here is to build a dicision tree and for yourself determine what is the msot important and go after that.

Servant Salamander is the ONE! It's located at-http://www.altap.cz/index.html
This is my "don't leave home without it" utility. Since it does the job of DOS's Norton Commander and more. Like supporting drag&drop, right-click context menus, clipboard operations with files, and it allows you to browse network drives without mapping. I put it on a disk (Not many things you can do that with nowadays) to bring to every pc I work on since it's extremely small, quick, and very stable. Which makes it excellent for doing all my file work that I need to do!
