effects on end users bypass internet filters

I am trying to find out the Cons of end users using such web sites as to bypass internet filters. Is the data they type in the hosts web site captured? DOes this make them vunerable to comprimising their personal information such as account names and SSN #'s?
Does it do anything to the Connection like hog bandwith? Or anything else it might cuase I would be intrested to know.

The users that are going to those sites are generally wanting to get by your filters for other reasons than doing banking or something. 9 times out of 10 its for porn or chatting at work. So block the proxy avoidance sites.

In the past I have used Websense and it categorizes all of those sites for you so you can block them. Websense costs real money but it is worth every penny.
