What does this mean and what is the solution?

It means that your disk drive C (or hard drive) is either screwed up or it means that your drivers for the hard drive are screwed. To determine which one it is, run scandisk and make sure you perform a through test. It will check every sector and your entire drive inside and out for errors. If It contains errors then I recommend backing up the content, formatting drive C and restoring the content. you might not see it anymore. Also, your disk might be full.

first course of action before assuming that it is a bad hard drive is check the power cable going into the drive. It is either loose, not in all the way or has a bad connector.

I suggest switching the power connction with the one for your CD player. This way you know that you are using a good connector.
